Sustainable Fishery Management
Sustainable fishery management aims to balance the economic benefits of fishing with the ecological health of marine ecosystems and the long-term viability of fish stocks. Current research heavily utilizes machine learning, employing models like gradient boosted trees and modified MobileNet architectures, to improve fish stock assessment, predict fishing pressure (e.g., using website visit data), and reconstruct incomplete datasets for more accurate analysis. These advancements offer improved precision in forecasting fish populations, optimizing fishing practices, and informing policy decisions for more effective conservation and resource management.
