Sustainable Urban Development

Sustainable urban development focuses on creating cities that are environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially equitable. Current research emphasizes leveraging data-driven approaches, including deep learning models for infrastructure management (e.g., predicting sewer system dynamics) and natural language processing for analyzing social media data to understand citizen needs and concerns related to water quality. This work is significant because it provides tools for optimizing resource allocation, improving urban services, and enhancing the overall resilience and sustainability of cities, ultimately contributing to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
