Syntactic Structure
Syntactic structure research focuses on understanding how sentences are organized grammatically, aiming to model and explain the hierarchical relationships between words and phrases. Current research employs various approaches, including dependency parsing, constituency parsing, and transformer-based language models, often incorporating probabilistic and graph-based methods to analyze and generate syntactic structures across multiple languages. This work is crucial for advancing natural language processing, improving machine translation and code understanding, and providing deeper insights into the cognitive mechanisms underlying human language comprehension and production.
