Synthetic Environment
Synthetic environments are computer-generated simulations used to train and test artificial intelligence agents, particularly in scenarios where real-world data is scarce, expensive, or dangerous to collect. Current research focuses on creating increasingly realistic and diverse synthetic datasets using game engines and generative models, often incorporating techniques like diffusion models and large language models to simulate complex human behavior and dynamic environments. This work is significant because it enables the development and evaluation of AI algorithms across a wider range of tasks and conditions, accelerating progress in robotics, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
