System Resilience
System resilience focuses on designing and operating systems that can withstand and recover from disruptions, whether caused by malicious actors, environmental factors, or internal failures. Current research emphasizes developing methods for improving resilience across diverse systems, including multi-agent systems (using hierarchical structures and adaptive defense mechanisms), UAV networks (optimizing communication strategies for extended operation), and power grids (leveraging complex network theory to assess and enhance robustness against extreme events). These advancements have significant implications for improving the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure and enhancing the efficiency of complex technological systems.
