TAR Spot
TAR, or Target Attribute Recognition, encompasses techniques for automated information retrieval and classification, with recent research focusing on improving explainability and accuracy using neural networks like Fuzzy ARTMAP. Another area of research uses TAR to perform neural logical reasoning across ontologies, enabling more comprehensive and understandable query responses by incorporating both entity-level and concept-level information. Finally, in plant pathology, TAR methods, specifically deep learning models such as Mask R-CNN, are being developed for automated detection and quantification of tar spot disease in corn, offering a significant improvement over manual assessment for disease monitoring and yield prediction.
