Thai Language
Research on the Thai language is rapidly advancing, driven by the need to develop robust and culturally sensitive large language models (LLMs). Current efforts focus on creating and evaluating Thai LLMs using architectures like transformers, improving their understanding of both core linguistic capabilities and culturally specific nuances, including handling loanwords. This work leverages existing multilingual models and datasets while also creating new benchmarks and resources specifically tailored to the Thai language, contributing significantly to the broader field of natural language processing and enabling advancements in applications such as machine translation and speech recognition.
