Thermoelectric Material
Thermoelectric materials, which convert heat directly into electricity and vice versa, are being actively researched to improve energy efficiency and thermal management. Current research focuses on optimizing material properties, such as power factor, through advanced computational techniques like multi-objective quality-diversity algorithms and machine learning models (including convolutional neural networks and ensemble methods) to predict and enhance performance. These efforts aim to accelerate the discovery of novel materials and improve the design of thermoelectric devices for applications ranging from waste heat recovery to precise temperature control in electronics. The development of closed-loop experimental strategies further enhances efficiency in material discovery.
