Tiny Robot
Miniature robots are being developed to perform tasks in confined or challenging environments, driving research into efficient onboard computation, locomotion strategies, and adaptable sensing. Current efforts focus on improving Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms for autonomous navigation, designing lightweight and energy-efficient systems, and creating bio-inspired designs for enhanced maneuverability and adaptability in diverse terrains, including underwater and mesh surfaces. These advancements are significant for applications ranging from search and rescue to environmental monitoring and industrial inspection, pushing the boundaries of robotics and embedded systems.
