ToR Network
The Tor network, designed for anonymous communication, is a subject of ongoing research focusing on both its security and its misuse. Current research emphasizes improving the detection of malicious activities within the Tor network, employing machine learning techniques like message-passing neural networks and convolutional neural networks to classify traffic and identify command-and-control channels. These efforts aim to enhance cybersecurity by improving the detection of malware and attacks while also addressing the challenges of website fingerprinting, which threatens Tor's anonymity. The results have implications for both network security and the development of more robust anonymity systems.
