Touch Sensor
Touch sensor research aims to create accurate, versatile, and easily integrable tactile sensing systems for robots and other applications. Current efforts focus on improving sensor design (e.g., soft, flexible, and miniaturized sensors), developing robust signal processing techniques (including machine learning models like CNNs and diffusion models) to handle noisy data and achieve cross-sensor generalization, and exploring novel applications such as object manipulation, human-robot interaction, and even mid-air haptics. These advancements are significant for enhancing robotic dexterity, improving human-computer interfaces, and enabling new forms of interaction with the physical world.
