Tractography Parcellation

Tractography parcellation aims to automatically classify the millions of fiber pathways reconstructed from diffusion MRI into anatomically meaningful bundles, enabling quantitative analysis of brain connectivity. Recent research emphasizes developing robust and efficient methods, often employing deep learning architectures (like point-cloud networks) and incorporating information beyond streamline geometry, such as microstructure data and functional measures, to improve accuracy and consistency across diverse populations and datasets. These advancements are crucial for advancing our understanding of brain structure-function relationships in health and disease, facilitating more precise diagnostic and prognostic tools in clinical neuroscience.
