Traumatic Brain
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) research focuses on improving diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment by leveraging advanced imaging analysis. Current efforts utilize deep learning models, including generative adversarial networks (GANs) for data augmentation and foundation models incorporating meta-learning and self-supervised learning for improved prediction of outcomes like post-traumatic epilepsy. These computational approaches aim to automate the analysis of imaging data (e.g., CT and fMRI scans), providing more objective and accurate assessments of lesion extent and severity than traditional methods, ultimately leading to better patient care and a deeper understanding of TBI pathophysiology.
