Triangle Mesh
Triangle meshes, fundamental 3D representations consisting of interconnected triangles, are central to numerous applications in computer graphics and related fields. Current research focuses on improving mesh generation techniques, including developing novel algorithms based on neural networks (e.g., using implicit surface representations or transformer architectures) and optimizing mesh properties like compactness and fidelity to input data (e.g., point clouds or implicit functions). These advancements are driving progress in areas such as text-to-3D generation, surface reconstruction from images or point clouds, and efficient rendering for virtual and augmented reality applications. The development of large-scale benchmark datasets is also crucial for evaluating and advancing these methods.
