Tutoring System
Conversational tutoring systems (CTS) leverage large language models (LLMs) to create personalized, one-on-one learning experiences mimicking human tutoring. Current research focuses on improving pedagogical effectiveness by incorporating advanced teaching strategies (e.g., productive failure, scaffolding) into LLM-based tutors and developing methods for automatically generating and orchestrating tutoring content. This work aims to enhance learning outcomes and address the high cost of creating traditional tutoring systems, potentially revolutionizing access to high-quality education.
