Two Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) aims to enhance security by requiring users to provide two distinct forms of verification, strengthening protection against unauthorized access. Current research explores diverse 2FA methods, including behavioral biometrics like keystroke dynamics and fingerprint analysis combined with timing data, environmental factors such as Wi-Fi signal strength, and motion patterns detected by inertial measurement units (IMUs), often employing machine learning algorithms such as artificial neural networks and convolutional neural networks for authentication. These advancements offer improved security and user experience compared to traditional methods, with applications ranging from online banking to mobile device access control.
