Ultrasound Probe
Ultrasound probes are being integrated into robotic systems to automate medical imaging, aiming to improve image quality and reduce the workload on sonographers. Current research focuses on developing algorithms, such as Bayesian optimization and reinforcement learning, to optimize probe positioning, orientation, and pressure for optimal image acquisition, often incorporating deep learning models for image quality assessment and target recognition. These advancements are improving the accuracy and efficiency of ultrasound imaging, particularly in challenging procedures like spinal sonography and robotic-assisted surgery, leading to potential improvements in patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
