Uniform Linear Array
Uniform linear arrays (ULAs) are linear arrangements of sensors or antennas used in various applications, including signal processing, radar, and beamforming, with the primary objective of accurately estimating the direction of arrival of signals or controlling the radiation pattern. Current research focuses on improving ULA performance through advanced signal processing techniques, such as robust adaptive beamforming algorithms and machine learning approaches (e.g., deep neural networks) to mitigate noise, sensor failures, and interference. These improvements are significant for enhancing the accuracy and robustness of applications ranging from wireless communication to acoustic sensing and are driving advancements in array design and signal processing methodologies.
