Uniform Resource Locator
Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) are fundamental to internet navigation, but their inherent structure makes them vulnerable to malicious use in phishing, malware distribution, and other cyberattacks. Current research heavily focuses on developing machine learning models, particularly employing deep learning architectures like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs, including LSTMs and Bi-LSTMs), and transformer-based models (like BERT), to automatically detect malicious URLs in real-time. These efforts aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of URL-based threat detection, enhancing cybersecurity and protecting users from online threats.
