Urban STREET
Urban street research focuses on understanding and improving various aspects of street environments, from social interactions and safety to crime patterns and infrastructure. Current research leverages large-scale datasets of street-level imagery, often analyzed with machine learning and computer vision techniques, to model and predict phenomena like social activity localization, crime rates, and building vulnerability. These studies contribute to improved urban planning, enhanced public safety initiatives, and more efficient resource allocation, ultimately aiming to create more livable and safer urban spaces.
