Vaccine Misinformation
Vaccine misinformation research focuses on identifying, tracking, and mitigating the spread of false or misleading information about vaccines across online social networks. Current research employs natural language processing, social network analysis, and machine learning models, including transformer-based architectures, to detect misinformation, analyze its propagation patterns, and understand the underlying cultural and political factors driving its dissemination. This work is crucial for public health initiatives, informing strategies to counter vaccine hesitancy and improve the accuracy of online health information, and providing valuable datasets and tools for future research.
