VAM HRI Interface
Virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VAM) interfaces for human-robot interaction (HRI) aim to improve collaboration and communication between humans and robots. Current research emphasizes developing robust models for detecting human reactions (e.g., facial expressions, gaze) to assess robot performance and adapt to human needs, often employing deep learning techniques. This work is crucial for creating safer, more intuitive, and socially acceptable robots, impacting fields ranging from industrial automation to assistive technologies and improving the design of human-centered robotic systems.
