Vehicle Monitoring System

Vehicle monitoring systems are rapidly evolving to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental impact assessment. Current research focuses on developing robust, real-time systems using diverse sensor modalities, including acoustic sensing for traffic monitoring, GNSS and IMU data for fuel consumption estimation, and optical sensors (e.g., thermal, NIR, visible) for driver and passenger monitoring. Advanced algorithms, such as neural networks and semi-supervised learning methods, are employed to process complex data streams and improve accuracy, particularly in noisy environments. These advancements have significant implications for improving road safety, optimizing fuel efficiency, and enabling the development of more intelligent transportation systems.
