Vestibular Schwannoma
Vestibular schwannomas (VS) are benign tumors requiring accurate diagnosis and monitoring, often involving longitudinal MRI scans. Current research heavily focuses on developing robust and efficient deep learning models, including neural fields, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and generative adversarial networks (GANs), for automated segmentation of VS and adjacent structures (like the cochlea) from different MRI modalities (T1 and T2 weighted images). These methods address challenges like cross-modality domain adaptation and the need for efficient growth prediction, aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy and inform treatment decisions. This work has significant implications for streamlining clinical workflows and potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures.
