Video Stitching

Video stitching aims to seamlessly combine multiple video streams into a single, wider-field-of-view panorama. Current research focuses on addressing challenges like temporal inconsistencies (e.g., "warping shakes") and color variations between video sources, often employing techniques such as advanced color correction methods (including 3D matrix approaches) and refined warping algorithms based on optical flow and homography estimations. These improvements enable real-time video stitching with enhanced visual quality and robustness, finding applications in virtual reality, surveillance, and immersive media experiences.
