Virtual Network
Virtual networks (VNs) are logical overlays on physical networks, enabling flexible resource allocation and customized service provisioning. Current research heavily focuses on efficient VN embedding algorithms, often employing deep reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, and optimization techniques to address the NP-hard nature of resource allocation and admission control, particularly in scenarios like 5G network slicing and IoT environments. These advancements aim to improve resource utilization, service quality, and security in increasingly complex and heterogeneous network infrastructures, impacting both network management and the design of novel applications.
