Vision Science JUSTICE
Vision science JUSTICE explores the ethical and practical implications of applying artificial intelligence, particularly large language models (LLMs) and deep neural networks (DNNs), to legal and justice-related tasks. Current research focuses on mitigating biases in AI-driven legal decision-making, improving access to justice through AI-powered tools (e.g., legal question answering and form completion), and developing robust evaluation methods for these systems. This interdisciplinary field is crucial for ensuring fairness, accountability, and transparency in the application of AI to the legal system, impacting both the scientific understanding of AI's capabilities and limitations and the practical delivery of justice.
