Current research emphasizes the use of deep learning models, such as transformers, generative adversarial networks (GANs), and recurrent neural networks (RNNs), often combined with techniques like radio fingerprinting and semi-supervised learning, to improve accuracy and scalability while reducing data requirements. These advancements are significant for improving the accuracy and efficiency of indoor navigation systems, enhancing security through device fingerprinting, and enabling new applications in robotics and the Internet of Things (IoT).
