XAI Experience

XAI experience research focuses on improving user interaction with and understanding of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) systems. Current efforts center on developing comprehensive evaluation metrics for XAI's effectiveness, designing user-centered interfaces that facilitate learning and trust, and exploring how explanations should be tailored to specific tasks and user needs, often leveraging techniques like eye-tracking to assess cognitive load. This work is crucial for building trustworthy and reliable AI systems across diverse applications, particularly in high-stakes domains like healthcare and finance, where user confidence and understanding are paramount.
