Young Infant
Research on young infants is rapidly advancing, driven by the need to understand early development and improve early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders. Current efforts leverage machine learning, particularly deep learning architectures like convolutional neural networks and diffusion models, to analyze diverse data sources including video recordings of infant behavior, audio recordings of vocalizations, and longitudinal 3D medical images. This work aims to automate the assessment of infant development, enabling earlier and more efficient diagnosis of conditions like autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy, ultimately improving clinical care and intervention strategies.
