Zero Touch Network
Zero-touch networks (ZTNs) aim to automate network management and self-optimization, minimizing human intervention in increasingly complex 5G and beyond networks. Current research focuses on integrating artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning (including automated machine learning) and distributed AI, to enable intelligent resource provisioning, self-healing, and enhanced security, often leveraging architectures like O-RAN. This approach promises significant improvements in network efficiency, scalability, and resilience, impacting both industrial IoT applications (like smart factories) and broader network operations by reducing costs and improving performance.
