Adaptive Behavior
Adaptive behavior research focuses on understanding how agents, both biological and artificial, modify their actions in response to changing environments and goals. Current research emphasizes developing computational models, including those based on reinforcement learning, active inference, and behavior trees, to simulate and analyze adaptive strategies in various contexts, such as robotics, resource management, and human-robot interaction. These advancements are significant for improving the robustness and flexibility of artificial systems and for gaining deeper insights into the mechanisms underlying intelligent behavior in biological organisms.
