Affective Decision
Affective decision-making research explores how emotions influence choices, aiming to build more realistic and effective models of human and artificial intelligence. Current investigations focus on comparing discrete and continuous computational models of decision processes, analyzing the impact of emotional states (like anger) on the behavior of large language models, and exploring analogies between quantum mechanics and the probabilistic nature of emotional decision-making. This work has implications for improving AI systems, enhancing our understanding of human behavior, and potentially resolving paradoxes in traditional decision theory.
