Brightfield Image
Brightfield microscopy image analysis focuses on extracting meaningful information from standard, unstained images, avoiding the limitations of specialized staining techniques. Current research emphasizes developing robust deep learning models, such as U-Net architectures and variations of R-CNN, to achieve accurate whole-cell and nuclei segmentation, even in complex, multi-biomarker images requiring advanced color unmixing. These advancements improve the efficiency and reliability of cell-based assays, cell line identification, and downstream analyses in various biological and medical applications, ultimately enhancing research workflows and potentially impacting diagnostics.
