Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer

Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST) MRI is a technique enhancing the detection of low-concentration metabolites and proteins by exploiting the chemical exchange of protons. Current research focuses on improving CEST's low signal-to-noise ratio and resolution through advanced denoising algorithms, such as implicit neural representations and generative adversarial networks (GANs), and super-resolution techniques using neural networks. These advancements aim to improve the accuracy and speed of quantitative CEST imaging, enabling more precise measurements of biomarkers relevant to various diseases, particularly in applications like tumor detection and the early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases.
