Climate Target
Climate targets, encompassing emission reduction and net-zero goals, are crucial for effective climate action, but their widespread assessment remains challenging. Current research focuses on developing automated methods, such as machine learning classifiers (including BERT-based models) and multi-agent simulations, to efficiently extract and analyze these targets from diverse sources like national policies and corporate communications. This improved data accessibility allows for better evaluation of policy effectiveness, identification of gaps in alignment with global goals, and more accurate modeling of the impacts of climate mitigation strategies on sectors like transportation and energy grids.
