Consistency Trajectory Model
Consistency Trajectory Models (CTMs) are a class of generative models designed to accelerate the sampling process of diffusion models while maintaining or improving sample quality. Current research focuses on refining CTM architectures to enable flexible transitions between single-step and multi-step generation, improving efficiency through techniques like trajectory segmentation and distillation, and extending their applicability beyond image generation to domains such as sound and video. This work is significant because it addresses the computational bottleneck inherent in many diffusion models, potentially enabling faster and more efficient generation of high-quality synthetic data across various modalities with applications in multimedia creation and other fields.
