Convolutional Dictionary

Convolutional dictionary learning (CDL) aims to learn a set of filters (a dictionary) that efficiently represent image data through sparse convolutions, enabling improved image processing. Current research focuses on developing efficient online and adaptive CDL algorithms, often incorporating these into deep learning architectures ("unrolled" optimization networks) for tasks like image super-resolution, denoising, and artifact reduction. This approach offers a balance between the interpretability of classical signal processing methods and the power of deep learning, leading to improved performance and generalization in various image processing applications.
