Facade Parsing
Facade parsing, a computer vision task, aims to automatically segment and classify the components of building facades (e.g., windows, doors, materials) from images. Current research emphasizes improving the accuracy and efficiency of this process, particularly for challenging real-world scenarios like oblique views and diverse building styles, using advanced architectures such as transformers and refined object detection models like YOLO variants. This work is driven by the need for improved building information modeling (BIM), autonomous vehicle navigation, and urban planning applications, with a focus on creating more comprehensive and realistic datasets to train and evaluate these algorithms.
