Forgery Semantics
Forgery semantics research focuses on identifying and characterizing the subtle artifacts introduced by image and video manipulation techniques like deepfakes. Current efforts concentrate on developing methods to decouple these forgery-specific features from the underlying content, improving the generalizability and fairness of detection models. This involves techniques that either isolate common forgery patterns for broader detection or subtly blend manipulated features into authentic images to reduce model bias. The ultimate goal is to create robust and unbiased detection systems, combating the spread of misinformation and enhancing digital media authenticity.
