Heterogeneous Organoids
Heterogeneous organoids, three-dimensional cell cultures mimicking in vivo tissues, are increasingly used in biological research and drug discovery. Current research focuses on developing automated image analysis pipelines, employing techniques like deep learning models (e.g., SegmentAnything, DINOv2) and correlation clustering algorithms, to efficiently quantify organoid morphology and predict drug efficacy from high-throughput microscopy images and videos. This automated analysis addresses the limitations of manual processing, enabling large-scale studies and more precise assessments of drug responses, ultimately accelerating advancements in personalized medicine and disease modeling.
