Ion Transport
Ion transport research focuses on understanding and predicting the movement of ions within various systems, aiming to improve the design and performance of technologies reliant on this process. Current efforts leverage machine learning, particularly neural differential equations and geometric deep learning, to model complex ion transport phenomena in diverse materials like battery electrolytes and nanoporous membranes, often incorporating physics-based constraints for improved accuracy and generalization. These advancements are crucial for optimizing energy storage, water purification, and other applications by enabling more efficient and accurate design of materials with tailored ionic conductivity and selectivity.
