NISQ Era
The NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) era focuses on harnessing the capabilities of current quantum computers, despite their limitations in size and noise. Research heavily emphasizes developing quantum algorithms and architectures optimized for these noisy devices, including variational quantum circuits (VQCs) and quantum generative adversarial networks (GANs), and improving classical-quantum hybrid approaches for machine learning tasks like image processing and classification. This work aims to bridge the gap between theoretical quantum computing and practical applications, pushing the boundaries of what's computationally feasible with near-term quantum hardware.
