Open Science Open Access Multilingual

Open science initiatives are increasingly focusing on multilingual access to research, aiming to overcome language barriers and promote global collaboration. Current research emphasizes developing and adapting large language models (LLMs), such as BLOOM, for multilingual tasks, including improving model compression techniques for low-resource languages and enhancing performance on diverse NLP benchmarks across multiple languages. This work is crucial for broadening scientific knowledge dissemination and enabling more inclusive participation in research, impacting fields ranging from scientific literature analysis to machine translation and beyond.
