Physical Function Monitoring
Physical function monitoring (PFM) aims to objectively assess an individual's physical capabilities, particularly crucial for aging populations. Current research emphasizes the use of wearable sensors and advanced machine learning techniques, such as time-series analysis models and large language models (LLMs), to process data from multiple physiological sources and identify anomalies indicative of health changes. This approach offers the potential for continuous, personalized health monitoring, enabling earlier detection of health issues and more effective interventions, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes and quality of life.
