Pulmonary Fissure
Pulmonary fissures are the connective tissue partitions separating the lobes of the lungs, and their accurate identification in medical imaging is crucial for diagnosing and treating lung diseases. Current research focuses on developing automated segmentation algorithms, employing techniques like attentive cross-entropy loss functions, ODoS filtering combined with shape feature analysis, and deep learning models (e.g., YOLO variations) to improve the accuracy and efficiency of fissure detection in CT scans. These advancements hold significant promise for improving the speed and precision of lung disease diagnosis, ultimately leading to better patient care.
