Test Time Augmentation
Test-time augmentation (TTA) enhances the robustness and accuracy of machine learning models by applying data augmentations during the testing phase, rather than only during training. Current research focuses on optimizing augmentation strategies, including intelligent selection of augmentations based on uncertainty metrics and the use of generative models to create more diverse and relevant augmented views. This technique improves model performance across various domains, from image classification and segmentation to natural language processing and medical image analysis, leading to more reliable and robust predictions in real-world applications.
