Abstract

Generating high-quality 360° panoramic videos from perspective input is one of the crucial applications for virtual reality (VR), whereby high-resolution videos are especially important for immersive experience. Existing methods are constrained by computational limitations of vanilla diffusion models, only supporting ≤\leq 1K resolution native generation and relying on suboptimal post super-resolution to increase resolution. We introduce CubeComposer, a novel spatio-temporal autoregressive diffusion model that natively generates 4K-resolution 360° videos. By decomposing videos into cubemap representations with six faces, CubeComposer autoregressively synthesizes content in a well-planned spatio-temporal order, reducing memory demands while enabling high-resolution output. Specifically, to address challenges in multi-dimensional autoregression, we propose: (1) a spatio-temporal autoregressive strategy that orchestrates 360° video generation across cube faces and time windows for coherent synthesis; (2) a cube face context management mechanism, equipped with a sparse context attention design to improve efficiency; and (3) continuity-aware techniques, including cube-aware positional encoding, padding, and blending to eliminate boundary seams. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that CubeComposer outperforms state-of-the-art methods in native resolution and visual quality, supporting practical VR application scenarios. EPIC: Epipolar-Consistent 360° Immersive Stereo Video Generation

Immersive displays can enable rich and diverse virtual experiences. Manually authoring every possible experience to realize this potential, however, is prohibitively expensive, difficult to scale, and impractical. Generative AI models could remove this bottleneck, but today's models are built for conventional displays and cannot generate the high-resolution, stereoscopic 360∘360^\circ content required for immersive viewing. Further, temporal and stereo inconsistencies that may be tolerable on conventional displays can become highly disruptive when viewed through an immersive headset. Here, we address this gap with a zero-shot generative pipeline that extends existing video diffusion models into 4K stereoscopic 360∘360^\circ videos. Inspired from binocular vision and depth perception, we develop an epipolar-aware 360∘360^\circ image matching metric that captures the temporal and stereo geometric inconsistencies across views. We then use this metric as a preference signal for direct preference optimization with limited training data. Our work enables 360∘360^\circ stereo video generation and provides a scalable path for bringing generative content to immersive displays, allowing diverse mixed reality experiences on demand.

Pantheon360: Taming Digital Twin Generation via 3D-Aware 360° Video Diffusion

Generating complete digital twins from videos requires precise camera control, global scene coverage, and strict spatial-temporal consistency constraints that remain challenging for perspective video generators due to their limited field of view (FoV). Their narrow FoV forces long or multi-view trajectories, amplifying cross-view inconsistency and temporal drift. We argue that 360° video generation offers a natural solution: panoramic coverage simplifies trajectory design and provides a strong global context for maintaining coherence. We introduce Pantheon360: Taming Digital Twin Generation via 3D-Aware 360° Video Diffusion, a controllable 360° video generation framework that synthesizes high-fidelity videos from sparse 360° inputs. The key idea is an explicit 3D Cache, reconstructed from the input, which serves as a geometric scaffold for any user-defined camera path. This allows the diffusion model to focus on photorealistic texture refinement while the 3D Cache enforces global geometric consistency. Experiments show that Pantheon360 achieves superior visual quality and unmatched geometric coherence, enabling reliable and flexible 360° scene generation for downstream simulation and digital-twin applications.

Demiurge: Forging Navigable 4D Worlds via Autoregressive Video Rerendering

Recent advances in video diffusion enable novel-view video synthesis from a single input video, supporting world modeling, embodied intelligence, and robotic simulation. However, existing methods process camera trajectories independently, lacking the cross-trajectory consistency needed for coherent, navigable 4D worlds. We introduce Demiurge, an autoregressive video rerendering pipeline built on a dynamic 4D point-cloud memory cache. It promotes cross-trajectory consistency through four components: (1) an appearance video diffusion model that synthesizes photorealistic novel-view videos conditioned on the 4D memory; (2) a memory-consistent video depth completion model that aligns known-region depths with cached geometry and completes missing regions, mitigating scale ambiguity and discontinuities during memory updates; (3) memory-aware dual-stream warping that provides high-fidelity visual guidance and occlusion cues for novel-view synthesis; and (4) geometry-aware video refinement that enhances perceptual quality. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance and three key capabilities: coherent spatiotemporal lattice construction over dense multi-view trajectories; large-parallax video rerendering under challenging camera motions, including 180-degree rotations with no input-view overlap; and geometry-faithful outputs that can be directly optimized into high-quality 3D Gaussian Splatting representations with minimal artifacts.
