Abstract

While large-scale video diffusion models have demonstrated impressive capabilities in generating high-resolution and semantically rich content, a significant gap remains between their pretraining performance and real-world deployment requirements due to critical issues such as prompt sensitivity, temporal inconsistency, and prohibitive inference costs. To bridge this gap, we propose a comprehensive post-training framework that systematically aligns pretrained models with user intentions through four synergistic stages: we first employ Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) to transform the base model into a stable instruction-following policy, followed by a Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) stage that utilizes a novel Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) method tailored for video diffusion to enhance perceptual quality and temporal coherence; subsequently, we integrate Prompt Enhancement via a specialized language model to refine user inputs, and finally address system efficiency through Inference Optimization. Together, these components provide a systematic approach to improving visual quality, temporal coherence, and instruction following, while preserving the controllability learned during pretraining. The result is a practical blueprint for building scalable post-training pipelines that are stable, adaptable, and effective in real-world deployment. Extensive experiments demonstrate that this unified pipeline effectively mitigates common artifacts and significantly improves controllability and visual aesthetics while adhering to strict sampling cost constraints.

Stream Forcing: Constructing Unified Training Trajectory for Robust Streaming Video Generation

Streaming video generation holds strong potential for world modeling, where future frames must be inferred online sequentially to form a continuous video stream. However, streaming video diffusion models introduce a fundamental train-inference mismatch: inference follows a specialized denoising order, whereas advanced training strategies typically require diverse noise-level configurations. To address this trade-off between train-inference consistency and training coverage, we reformulate the video diffusion sampling as a frame-indexed stochastic process over noise levels. Within this stochastic process space, we construct a continuous training trajectory along which the sampling schedule progressively evolves from independent sampling to inference-consistent sampling. We further introduce a joint calibration algorithm and a temporal correlative sampling algorithm to ensure trajectory smoothness and cross-frame correlation. Building on these designs, we propose Stream Forcing, a unified training framework for streaming video generation that balances training sufficiency and inference efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Stream Forcing significantly improves generation quality with a 36.6% FVD improvement on the UCF-101 benchmark. Furthermore, our method facilitates robust zero-shot extrapolation to long-horizon video generation with a 27.9% FVD improvement on the UCF-101 benchmark.

TeDiO: Temporal Diagonal Optimization for Training-Free Coherent Video Diffusion

Recent text-to-video diffusion transformers generate visually compelling frames, yet still struggle with temporal coherence, often producing flickering, drifting, or unstable motion. We show that these failures leave a clear imprint inside the model: incoherent videos consistently exhibit irregular, fragmented temporal diagonals in their intermediate self-attention maps, whereas stable motion corresponds to smooth, band-diagonal patterns. Building on this observation, we introduce TeDiO, a training-free, inference-time method that reinforces temporal consistency by regularizing these internal attention patterns. TeDiO estimates diagonal smoothness, identifies unstable regions, and performs lightweight latent updates that promote coherent frame-to-frame dynamics, without modifying model weights or using external motion supervision. Across multiple video diffusion models (e.g., Wan2.1, CogVideoX), TeDiO delivers markedly smoother motion while preserving per-frame visual quality, offering an efficient plug-and-play approach to improving dynamic realism in modern video generation systems.

Diff-VF: Training-free High-quality Long Video Generation via Diffusion Model

Recently, diffusion models have made great progress in video generation. However, most existing video diffusion models are trained with short videos, and degrade when extrapolated to long videos, struggling to maintain long-range temporal coherence while retaining diverse motions. To generate consistent, high-quality and dynamic long videos, we propose Diff-VF, a training-free, plug-and-play and model-agnostic framework that converts existing short-video diffusion backbones into long-video generators without modifying or fine-tuning the base model. Diff-VF couples three complementary strategies: Hybrid Noise Initialization (HNI) to constrain global semantics, Weighted Window Sampling (WWS) to remove inter-window discontinuities, and Temporal Extended Sampling (TES) to establish long-range dependencies with a timestep-varying fusion. We further extend Diff-VF to long-video enhancement via Skip Residual Guidance that balances fidelity and realism through timestep-dependent guidance. VBench-Long evaluation results show that Diff-VF achieves a more favorable balance between temporal coherence and motion diversity than base models and recent training-free long video generation baselines, including FreeNoise, FreeLong, and RIFLEx, while maintaining competitive frame-wise quality. Experiments on two base models demonstrate the applicability to video diffusion models with different spatial-temporal modeling strategies. Extensive ablations validate the contribution of each component and hyperparameters.
