Abstract

RGB-T semantic segmentation requires strictly aligned VIS-IR-Label triplets; however, such aligned triplet data are often scarce in real-world scenarios. Existing generative augmentation methods usually adopt cascaded generation paradigms, decomposing joint triplet generation into local conditional processes. As a result, consistency among VIS, IR, and Label in spatial structure, semantic content, and cross-modal details cannot be reliably maintained. To address this issue, we propose UniTriGen, a unified triplet generation framework that directly generates spatially aligned, semantically consistent, and modality complementary VIS-IR-Label triplets under the guidance of text prompts. UniTriGen first introduces a unified triplet generation mechanism, where VIS, IR, and Label are jointly encoded into a shared latent space and modeled with a diffusion process to enforce global cross-modal consistency. Lightweight modality-specific residual adapters are further integrated into this mechanism to accommodate modality-specific imaging characteristics and output formats. To mitigate generation bias caused by imbalanced scene and class distributions in limited paired triplets, UniTriGen also employs a scene-balanced and class-aware few-shot sampling strategy, which induces a more balanced sampling distribution and enhances the scene and class diversity of generated triplets. Experiments show that UniTriGen generates high-quality aligned triplets from limited real paired data, thereby achieving consistent performance improvements across various RGB-T semantic segmentation models.

Not All Patches are Equal: Sampling Matters for Visible-Infrared Pre-Training

Visible-infrared (VIS-IR) alignment is a key pre-training task for robust multi-sensor perception. Most existing methods use uniform patch-wise contrastive learning, but this can be unreliable in VIS-IR data because imaging-physics differences make some spatially paired regions inherently less comparable, and aligning them with equal strength hinders representation learning and downstream transfer. In this paper, we revisit VIS-IR pre-training from a sampling perspective and propose Importance-Aware Sampling (IAS), which adjusts training emphasis based on patch reliability. Specifically, IAS (i) derives patch weights from infrared structural cues and uses them to reweight the contrastive objective; (ii) learns a soft importance mask with a lightweight sampler, optionally warm-started from the hand-crafted prior; and (iii) employs a patch curriculum learning strategy that gradually expands from high-reliability regions to harder patches. It is worth noting that IAS is plug-and-play and works with both patch-/correlation-level alignment (e.g., UNIV-style) and image-level contrastive baselines (e.g., ImageBind-style). Extensive experiments on multiple VIS-IR benchmarks demonstrate consistent improvements over strong baselines, including for IR semantic segmentation, IR object detection and VIS semantic segmentation and cross-modal retrieval task. Code will be released on https://github.com/KlayMa527/IAS.

SARTM: Segment Any RGB Thermal Model with Language aided Distillation

The recent Segment Anything Model (SAM) demonstrates strong instance segmentation performance across various downstream tasks. However, SAM is trained solely on RGB data, limiting its direct applicability to RGB-thermal (RGB-T) semantic segmentation. Given that RGB-T provides a robust solution for scene understanding in adverse weather and lighting conditions, such as low light and overexposure, we propose a novel framework, SARTM, which customizes the powerful SAM for RGB-T semantic segmentation. Our key idea is to unleash the potential of SAM while introduce semantic understanding modules for RGB-T data pairs. Specifically, our framework first involves fine-tuning the original SAM by adding extra LoRA layers, aiming at preserving SAM's strong generalization and segmentation capabilities for downstream tasks. Secondly, we introduce language information as guidance for training our SARTM. To address cross-modal inconsistencies, we introduce a Cross-Modal Knowledge Distillation(CMKD) module that effectively achieves modality adaptation while maintaining its generalization capabilities. This semantic module enables the minimization of modality gaps and alleviates semantic ambiguity, facilitating the combination of any modality under any visual conditions. Furthermore, we enhance the segmentation performance by adjusting the segmentation head of SAM and incorporating an auxiliary semantic segmentation head, which integrates multi-scale features for effective fusion. Extensive experiments are conducted across three multi-modal RGBT semantic segmentation benchmarks: MFNET, PST900, and FMB. Both quantitative and qualitative results consistently demonstrate that the proposed SARTM significantly outperforms state-of-the-art approaches across a variety of conditions. TrioPose: Native Triple-Stream Diffusion Transformers for Pose-Guided Text-to-Image Generation

Pose-guided text-to-image generation often suffers from limb distortions and feature crosstalk in complex multi-person scenarios. While existing UNet-based adapters struggle with long-range spatial dependencies, emerging Multimodal Diffusion Transformers (MM-DiTs) offer superior global modeling. However, naive signal concatenation in MM-DiTs severely disrupts pre-trained latent distributions. To address this, we propose TrioPose, a native pose-driven framework built upon the SD3.5M architecture. Specifically, we introduce a Triple-Stream Pose-Aware DiT (TSPA-DiT) that treats pose as an independent modality. It employs layer-wise activation and zero-initialized dual-residual injection to smoothly enforce geometric constraints while preserving pre-trained latent stability. To resolve severe multi-instance occlusions, we design a Learnable Relational Bias Mask that categorizes topological connectivity into fine-grained physical states, mapping them into continuous attention soft constraints to effectively decouple inter-instance interference. Furthermore, a Pose-Guided Spatial Loss Weighting strategy modulates the native diffusion objective using heatmap-derived error maps, focusing anatomical supervision strictly on distortion-prone regions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TrioPose achieves state-of-the-art performance across challenging benchmarks, including Human-Art, CrowdPose, and OCHuman. Notably, it attains an AP of 64.3364.33 on Human-Art, representing a 30%30\% improvement over prior arts, while setting new standards for visual fidelity and text-image semantic alignment in complex multi-human generation.
